On Elk lakes trail at the top of the first hill.. it was a big hill, even for bikes. We pushed for a little while. From here on in it was easy riding.

Further along the bike path, Mt Fox appears above the trees.

We're on the right track, Once we get to Frozen lake we'll start the actual climb.

Our first look at Frozen lake, the ascent of Mt Fox is along the ridge on the right hand side of the photo.

Pano of the lake and the ascent ridge. First order of business is to scale the grassy slopes on the right.

Zooming into the ridge, There are two other climbers starting up the rocky face.

There's another party of eight (!) heading up the grassy slopes.. going to be busy up there today.

The slopes are steep, we didn't go very far and we're already gaining some elevation.

We'll traverse the the sky-line directly above conor's head. It was steep and there were prickly burrs that were sticking to my pants.

As we crest the grassy slopes we can start to see to the north. Starting to get a mix of rock and dirt.

Of course I hiked 10 meters and have to take another photo of Frozen lake, just to make sure it's still there. (it was..)
