Pack horses in their corral. We spotted a deer in the corral but it was too timid for a photo.
After 4kms up the road we're at the start of the trail.
Bear warning at Baker lake. We're not staying there but will be hiking nearby.
Only 3.3kms to go to reach our first campsite.
The trail is wide and well maintained. The cool cloudy day saturates the colours.
Into the open meadows of Skoki. We get our first glimpse of the Richardson Pika Ptarmigan trio of mountains.

An early sign of fall.. the larches hadn't turned yet but it won't be long.
We stopped to explore the halfway hut which was built in 1931.

We made it to camp, setup the tent and are ready to hang our food bags on the bear poles. We keep all our cooking and some other gear in the bags, that's not all food.

On our way towards Anthazoean we decided we should climb Heather ridge to get there.. rather than walk around it.
