Whiteman's pond is calm in the morning light. Ha Ling reflects on the surface
Starting up the trail. We parked around the corner center frame.
Conor at the start of the trail.
I was overcome with how pretty the light was coming through the trees and snapped a shot.
Looking for variations of the HaLing/Whitemans pond photo..
For a while on ascent I was pacing a large group. I'd take photos to let them get ahead. Eventually I passed them.
Gaining elevation and starting to get some views.
I'm ahead of the group as they navigate a slabby section. EEoR is really a nice hike with varied terrain
Another take of the view towards the east. Ha Ling and Lawrence Grassi on the left.
Looking back at the group I was pacing. I was looking for Conor and Kai but didn't see them.
zoomed in photo of Ha Ling. Hikers can be seen against the skyline. Looks as busy as EEoR.
Some sheep were lazing away on the upper slopes of EEoR
Looking east at the front face of Ha Ling, Lawrence Grassi and I think, Mt Allen in the back.
Ha Ling, Miners and Lawrence grassi
A gap in the cliff and we can see Whitemans pond
Goat creek parking lot is busy today.
looking over the east edge of EEoR into the depths of Kananaskis.
Skirting the edge of the cliffs I'm on 'new' ground having not been on this part of the mountain before.
Small rise along the front edge of EEoR
Sadly the couple climbing the high point here would stop for a snack and were spotted yoinking watermellon rinds over the edge of the cliff. Equally sad, I didn't say anything but am passive aggressively mentioning it here.
Along the front face of EEoR, a raven prances through the snow. Later the raven flew some pretty acrobatic moves which was fun to watch.
