    Midnight Peak

Leon kept suggesting to hike Midnight peak but there was too much snow on the face for the last few weeks. Today was going to be our attempt. Sadly Leon's car got a flat tyre and he had to deal with that and couldn't make it out. Conor and I met Lena and Jeff and we started out just before 4pm. Luckly the sun stays out late this time of year, we got back to the car around 10:00pm and there was still lots of light.. This was Jeff's first mountain and he did awesome.

    Snow

The snow in the trees is fading fast, but being north facing there were still some clumps of it around. It was pretty slippery and wet.

We just broke out of the trees on the shoulder and there was this patch of snow, and the light was creating awesome textures. Of course I tried to make a shot like this.. I tried a lot. In different places.. most of my photos are snow, hiker, sun.. lol.. well not most, but a lot ;) Also, we met a party of three who were descending.
