Lena had fallen about 20m and was badly injured. Jeremy and Bre ran down to the trailhead where there was a payphone and called for help. Scott Conor and I stayed with Lena to try and keep her calm and warm while we waited for help. When help arrived it took some time to bundle her up for extraction. She was airlifted to an ambulance in the parking lot then taken to Stars Air ambulance and finally to the Foothills hospital for treatment. Thanks to all those who helped out in the rescue. It certainly wasn't how we were expecting to end the day..
